Data Operations Engineer F/M

Tomorrow Jobs, on behalf of its customer, an aerospace company, is looking for a:

Data Operations Engineer F/M – Luxembourg (close to the French border) – Permanent contract

Salary package: 65-80K € per year + 10 % bonus + meal vouchers

As a Data Operations Engineer, you will join an international development team working on multiple projects.

Your tasks will include:

• Development and implementation of data pipelines to design processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data (ETL);
• Automation of data workflows using tools and processes to improve efficiency;
• Implementation of data validation and cleaning procedures to maintain data integrity and quality;
• Monitoring performance by proactively tracking data pipeline performance and resolving issues to minimize interruptions in data availability;
• Implementation of continuous integration practices to facilitate code merging and to automate deployments;
• Data workflow management using container orchestration platforms and data workflow management tools to optimize environments and processes.

To fill this position, you must have an engineering degree and at least 3 years of experience.

You recognise yourself in the following points:

• Experience in design and implementation of data pipelines;
• Familiarity with the automation of data workflows;
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL);
• Being driven and methodical, with a team spirit and a desire to progress;
• Being able to converse fluently in English.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, or Docker;
• Experience in the aerospace field or with geospatial tools (GDAL, Rasterio, Geoserver, Jupyter Notebooks, Geopandas);
• Knowledge of data management tools (Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
